These boards are identical in species, grade, and profile to our 5/4×6 Pregrooved Garapa random lengths. The only difference is that you’re choosing a specific board length for your project instead of taking a random-length mix. Pregrooved boards include a factory-milled groove for hidden fastener systems (Ipe Clip® and compatible clips).
When to choose specific lengths:
- Your project has a fixed dimension and you want boards that span without splicing
- You want to minimize cuts and waste on a complex deck
- You need a specific length for stair treads, fascia, or custom work
Pre-drilling required. Due to Garapa’s density, all fastener holes must be pre-drilled with carbide-tipped bits. Use stainless steel fasteners and seal all cut ends with end-grain sealer at installation.
